How do I start scoring a round?

Tap New Shoot on the home screen, select your round format, configure the options, and tap Start Round. Place arrows on the target by tapping the scoring zone. Totals, X counts, and running scores update automatically.

Do I need an account?

No. STX Archery works entirely offline with no account or login required. All your data is stored locally on your device.

What does the free tier include?

The free tier includes 7 complete rounds across all 21 scoring formats with full shot placement on 3D animal targets. No account, no subscription, no expiry — just 7 rounds to try before you decide.

How do I restore my Premium purchase on a new device?

Go to the Settings tab in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and will be restored automatically at no additional charge.

Why does the app ask for location permission?

GPS is used to record your walking path during a round and build a course map. This is a Premium feature and is off by default. Location is only tracked while you're actively shooting a round, is stored only on your device, and is never transmitted to any server.

Why does the app ask for camera permission?

Camera access is used to take optional target photos during a round. Photos are stored locally in the app and are never uploaded or shared without your explicit action.

Why does the app ask for photo library permission?

Photo library access is used as a fallback when attaching target photos if the camera is unavailable. The app only reads images you explicitly select — it never scans or accesses your library automatically.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings → Clear All Local Data. This permanently removes all rounds, courses, and equipment from your device. Uninstalling the app also removes all local data. We do not store any data on external servers.

The app isn't behaving as expected — what should I do?

Try force-quitting and reopening the app. If the issue persists, email us at stx@stx-archery.com with a description of what happened and your iOS version.
